(i blog… sorta) : vacation!

So. I’ve been pretty quiet and for that, I apologize. Munchkin & I are on vacation and enjoying it very much, thank you. Pictures will follow (too lazy to walk upstairs and fetch my camera) but in the meantime, here is a list of things we saw :

-Hot air balloons
-Waterslides
-A family-owned soap making place
-Roller coasters
-Movies (old & new)
-Park
-Bikes
-The school
-Our backyard
-Friends
-Dogs playing in water
-A house in a mountain on a lake far from everything
-Boats
-Traffic
-Construction
-Sunlight
-Thunderstorms
-Stars
-Books
-…

So yeah, it’s a pretty great vacation.

Just in case you can’t wait for pictures, here are a 2 taken with my iPod to hold you :

(i blog… sorta) : three things that made me happy this weekend

1. the fact that it was a 3-day.

2. an unexpected evening out, including dinner-date & stroll down (someone else’s) memory lane. you learn a lot from the places people show you.

3. going to the dep with munchkin to use her coupon for a free Sloche. it was just too cute seeing her clip the coupon from her magazine, stick it inside her wallet, stick her wallet inside her purse, and don her flip flops – finally ready to go.

1. this flowering magnolia tree in my neighbor’s backyard has been making me happy since the weekend.
2. my daughter’s unsuppressed smile when i told her i took the day off for her last day of school in june so that i could volunteer at the school fête.
2a. getting the school to approve my friend’s company for the event.
3. thursday night.

and as extras : the crazy sun since monday & learning to drive stick.

Elections Canada 2011

Not yet official, but it looks like Canada will wake up to a majority Convervative government.

Which, trust me, is really quite scary.

On the flip side, the New Democratic Party has swept through the nation, kicking both the Liberals and the Bloc to the curb and securing a role as the official opposition party. This is a true test for the party & their leader Jack Layton; we need him to succeed if we want to recognize our country in 4 years.
