Comment : While making this hat I kept coming to see finished projects of the pattern & reading about how small it was. I never managed to get gauge, but I went all the way up to an f hook and the hat is PERFECT.

Comment : Didn’t a)feel like b)have beads for this, but I think it’s almost as pretty as the magazine version. This particular colour of the cool crochet yarns is very awesome.

The sc rows are long and tedious, but that’s just a product of that stitch repeated 400 times… otherwise the scarf kept me interested enough to care, but not so difficult that I couldn’t crochet in the car.

Notes :
First completed project using beads. Super simple & quick. Love love love. Munchkin quickly took this one from me, but I’m already working on a second one. I’m using scrap yarn and beads, but I’m seeing other – better – combinations in my head. Very quick gift idea for those unselfish crocheters out there.

completed : silvana wrap

Pattern:silvana wrap
Designer: Gabriela Ordenes
Yarn: bernat cool crochet
Hooks: H

Notes :
This one time, when I’d just started crocheting, there was a sale on bernat cool crochet at one or another of the craft stores I buy yarn at resulting in a LOT of this brown that I don’t like as much as I may have thought I would. The wrap looks better live than in pics – which is so ofter the case. This is another pattern I volunteered to test for the designer.
